i dont understand the point of being in a class if the teacher is never there. my english class has gotten canceled so many times this semester, were like already 3 weeks behind, (mostly because of ike.) it makes no sense. oh well. at least now i have another week to work on my essay.
the ants in my keyboard seem to gone away. i raided those bitches.
on to more important things. my political science class seems to be getting me into some trouble. we're encouraged to have an opinion, only, apparently, my opinion is too strong and could offend others. why have an opinion at all if you cant voice it? whatever. maybe a cookie will make me feel better. hopefully the ants havent gotten to them yet. garg! i dont think im understanding college the way i thought i would. everything is not in the way that i think. why is it ok for teachers to ignore their class and them slam them with work that wasnt even taught because the teacher failed to mention he wasnt going to be in class that day and everyone showed up and then had to leave because he forgot? my music teacher doesnt care. my english teacher is always sick apparently, my other teachers are hard asses about attendance. wft!?
ok. i need to recalibrate my thoughts.
everything is better when you just do it yourself. i dont even have to go to my music class because he doesnt say anything different then the book says. why am i paying money for a class that i could have done on my own.
this brings me back to the essay i wrote for academic decathlon: lots of people go to college and lots of people dont. college is not for everyone. many poeple choose to work for a living and aquire skills that will benefit them in a higher up job. only problem, those who went to college and may have no experience in the field of work automatically get the job first simply because they have their name written on a piece of paper that states they made it through 4 years of classes that only discussed the subject. that wonderful degree gives them the advantage. i dont think that those who worked their asses off to learn the skills they need to work should be punished for not going to college. again, college is not for everyone. the point is, a college degree shouldnt always be the deciding factor in who gets the job. qualification should still be a requirement, yes. but why disreguard those who have experience? im rambling now. im aware. it comes down to book smarts against street smarts i guess. im all for both. considering im in college.
anywho. its picture time!
here i was just a few moments ago.
